Katerina Nikolaou has over 17 years of experience in business, marketing and communications, having held senior marketing and trade positions (Marketing Director, Global Category, Trade Marketing Manager) in large multinational companies, as well as serving as a consultant focusing areas like on strategic planning, innovation, business & marketing plan development and implementation.
She has led innovation and change initiatives across countries and cultures (including, the Netherlands, UK, Australia, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland and others), working with various stakeholders including creative agencies, local management teams, etc. Her work has been awarded and most recently, received the Marketing Excellence Award from the Hellenic Institute of Marketing as well as the Grand Award.
She is an elected member of the Executive Committee of the Hellenic Institute of Marketing, where she has also been appointed General Secretary, and is leading activities that promote the marketing community and the marketing function in Greece.
With Being Essential she has been a facilitator in a number of seminars including the Harvard Business Publishing seminars as well as other customized seminars in Time Management, Project Management, Communication Skills, Writing Skills, Persuasion and Influence, Emotional Intelligence, Brainstorming and Lateral Thinking, Goal Setting, Decision Making etc. She has also led various innovation and creative sessions for New Idea Development, Creative Problem Solving, Digital Transformation, etc.
She has studied marketing at the American College of Greece, Deree College and holds a postgraduate degree (MBA) from Boston University, focusing in marketing and strategic planning.
She has worked with organizations like Unilever, Danone, Jacobs Douwe Egberts, Philip Morris International, 3E, GE, Boehringer and others.
